Philip Levy
Philip Levy was born in London in 1950 and moved to Sydney
with his family in 1953 where they joined the Great Synagogue
at which his father was Secretary.
In 1960 the family moved to the North Shore joining the Lindfield
Synagogue. Philip joined the choir in that year as a boy soprano,
also singing on Friday evenings in the Great Synagogue Youth
Choir.
He enterd the clothing industry in 1970 and still maintains
these ties today.
He moved to Melbourne in 1975 and was involved at Executive
level with the UIA Young Leadership. He also joined the Liron
Choir not only as a singer but also as President for 3 years.
In 1995 he joined the St Kilda Shule and is involved as a
Chorister; and since 1998 a Board Member sitting on a number
of sub-committees.
He has a son Eden(affectionatley known as Spike) born in 1984
and a daughter Laura born in 1987.
